Empty modern conference room with black leather chairs around a white glass table, with notebooks and pens on the table, and a city skyline outside large window.

I’ve spent my career in the law — from litigation and class actions to legislative reform in government.

Along the way, I’ve seen both the power of the law to shape lives and the strain of systems that are often outdated, rigid, and unsustainable.

I’ve burnt out more than once — partly due to undiagnosed neurodivergence, but mostly because the legal profession and modern workplaces weren’t designed with people in mind.

The Sustainable Brief grew out of one question:

What would it look like if law, government, and technology were designed to support people — not exhaust them?

Here, I write about reform, technology, and wellbeing — with the aim of reimagining a profession that’s innovative, sustainable, and human-centred.
